I took Master O to his first theatrical experience over the weekend of 25-26 September 2010. He loved it!
Afterwards, I spoke to Fiona Martinelli, co-writer, producer and director of the show. She said she was recently back from overseas and excited to be developing her new Italian language-based theatre company, Teatro Paradiso. She’ll be working with Co. As. It, taking the show to schools, including the Italian Bilingual School at Leichhardt.
A feast of songs, puppets, pantomime and a great adventure story with an Italian flavour!
When Lucia complains to her grandma (nonna) about being teased at school, nonna tells her to be brave and strong like her special little fish (Pesciolino) His amazing adventure with an unfriendly shark (Signor Squalo) a gentle whale (Signora Balena) a magic mermaid (La Sirena magica) and a little Italian boy called Pinocchio, is sure to captivate the whole family!

I and can’t stop singing pesciolino’s song.

“Bravo Pesciolino! This Italian story is a winner. We just loved it”
Dove vai, pesciolino?
I am going out to play, al mare, al mare.
Just be careful pesciolino,
because I am here vicino,
I can eat you in one bite!
