UTS Journalism co-ordinator, Jenna Price, is recommending this course. It is a really good idea for both aspiring and working journalists to develop their shorthand skills. Something for me to think about, too…

This course teaches Teeline shorthand, which is a system of fast writing. Participants will learn to omit unnecessary letters and streamline longhand letters. Advanced principles for speedwriting are covered from week 11. On completion of this course speeds of 40+ non-standard or 60+ standard words per minute under the Australian Standard 2907 can be achieved.

Journalists, editors, personal assistants, students or anyone needing to learn how to write fast will benefit from attending.

Upon successful completion participants will receive a theory and speed building certificate and depending on results a non-standard or standard AS2907 speed certificate.
